The BLANKOM HDC-6008CI is a professional high-density headend transmodulator designed to receive digital satellite DVB-S/S2 signals and modulate them into standard DVB-C (QAM) RF channels. Unlike Free-to-Air (FTA) models, it incorporates physical Common Interface (CI) slots dedicated to professional CAM modules, allowing the concurrent descrambling of encrypted commercial Pay-TV satellite bouquets.

The unit features 8 independent physical DVB-S2 RF tuner inputs paired with 4 integrated Common Interface (CI) slots (depending on the exact sub-board configuration). This hardware architecture allows operators to ingest multiple satellite transponders simultaneously and route selected encrypted transport streams through the physical CAM hardware for centralized decryption.

The processing fabric of the HDC-6008CI is engineered to output up to 4 or 8 independent QAM RF carriers (depending on factory hardware module provisioning) from a single 1U chassis. This high-density modulation allows the distribution of extensive, multi-language TV lineups over existing corporate or municipal coaxial cables.

Unlike pure transparent pass-through converters, the HDC-6008CI features a powerful integrated digital multiplexing core. It allows headend engineers to demultiplex incoming transport streams, execute precise PID filtering or PID remapping, and selectively recombine elementary streams (channels) from different satellite tuners into custom QAM output carriers.

The integrated digital modulator complies fully with ITU-T J.83A and J.83B digital cable standards. It supports 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, and 256QAM constellations with an adjustable symbol rate up to 7.0 Msps, guaranteeing absolute compatibility with standard edge set-top boxes and digital television tuners.

The agile RF output section spans the standard digital cable television spectrum from 48 MHz up to 860 MHz. Output parameters can be adjusted individually per carrier via the management interface, ensuring an optimized signal-to-noise ratio and a high Modulation Error Ratio (MER) for stable distribution across extensive coaxial trunk networks.

Yes, full PSI/SI parsing and regeneration are natively supported by the internal multiplexer engine. The unit can automatically open and rebuild PAT, PMT, NIT, and SDT tables. This allows engineers to manually customize service names, provider metadata, and Logical Channel Numbering (LCN) to ensure a perfectly structured channel lineup on the subscriber end.

System configuration, tuner lock margins, CAM decoding states, and RF parameter adjustments are managed exclusively via an embedded WebGUI using a standard internet browser through a dedicated 100M Ethernet management port. This model line does not support SNMP management, keeping the control plane isolated, lightweight, and secure.

No. The HDC-6008CI performs modulation and multiplexing strictly at the transport stream layer. It operates transparently regarding video and audio compression codecs, meaning it preserves original MPEG-2, H.264 (AVC), or H.265 (HEVC) streams in SD, HD, or 4K Ultra HD resolutions untouched.

Housed in a rugged standard 19-inch 1U rack-mount industrial metal enclosure, the device is engineered for demanding 24/7/365 headend uptimes. It features active intelligent cooling fans for heat dissipation and can be provisioned through our technical Ordering Guides with dual redundant power supplies to negate primary AC power line dropouts.
