With the DisplayPort 1.4 cable you connect e.g. your graphic card with a monitor, TV or video projector at up to 8K resolution.

A DisplayPort cable transmits digital video and audio signals.

This cable supports a maximum bandwidth of 32.4 Gbps which can be a resolution of 7680 x 4320 at 60Hz, 5120 x 2880 at 120Hz or 3840 x 2160 at 240Hz and a colour sampling of 4:2:0.

Higher colour sampling reduce the frame rate (Hz).
