Broadcast & Video Contribution
Professional video transport from source to studio, control room or IP network.
BLANKOM encoders, decoders and gateways connect live video sources to broadcast facilities and monitoring locations through compatible IP workflows.

Reception and distribution
Follow the Signal from Source to Studio
A live feed may start at a venue, a remote studio or a reception site. Dedicated video hardware converts the available signal into an IP stream and returns it to a compatible receiving interface at the destination.

Match codec, resolution, frame rate and protocol at both ends. Network bandwidth, latency and packet-loss conditions must be evaluated for the intended application.
Practical Workflows for Broadcast Teams
Live Event Contribution
Move an SDI or HDMI feed from a camera or production switcher to a studio or control room. Selected BLANKOM encoders support SRT for contribution across suitable IP connections.
Studio-to-Studio Video Transport
Encode a programme output or regional studio feed for delivery to another broadcast facility. Select the receiving equipment around the required video output and stream format.
Broadcast Monitoring over IP
Make incoming and production feeds available to engineering positions and control rooms. The HDD-275 family supports mosaic monitoring for compatible streams; confirm the required model and formats.
DVB Reception to Remote IP Feeds
Receive satellite or other supported DVB services and deliver selected programmes into an IP workflow. The IGS-8008 provides multiple tuner inputs and SPTS outputs for reception and distribution projects.
Extend Live Feeds to More Viewing Locations
Production video can be encoded for distribution to newsroom displays, engineering workstations, production offices and internal IPTV receivers. A multicast-capable network and compatible endpoints are selected around the number and format of the feeds.
Several Feeds. One Monitoring Position.
Verify stream format and mosaic capacity against the selected model and operating mode.
Choose the Right Video Building Block
These four product families illustrate different roles in a broadcast workflow. The BLANKOM portfolio includes further encoder, streamer, decoder and gateway models, interfaces and channel configurations.
IRD-6310
Professional receiver and decoder with DVB, ASI and IP inputs, CI descrambling and SDI/HDMI outputs.
SHDE-4000
4Kp60 contribution encoding with HEVC/H.264 and SRT in a 19-inch rack unit.
IRA-3000
Professional audio receiver and decoder with AES/EBU digital and balanced analogue audio outputs.
IGS-2000
ASI and IP decoding with two HD/SD-SDI outputs and bidirectional ASI/IP conversion.
Match the Hardware to the Production Requirement
Video Interfaces
Select SDI, 12G-SDI, HDMI or DVB equipment for the relevant point in the signal chain.
IP Compatibility
Confirm the required codec, transport protocol and receiving system for each link.
Product Operation
Review web configuration and management functions for the selected model.
Engineering Support
Discuss the source, destination and installation requirements with our team in Germany.
Contribution into Remote Production Workflows
BLANKOM hardware can provide the video-transport layer into a wider production system. Frame-accurate multi-camera synchronisation, JPEG XS, native SMPTE ST 2110, PTP, hitless redundancy and specified sub-frame latency require separate product and system verification.
Professional Hardware with Lifetime Licensing
Standard BLANKOM hardware includes lifetime licensing, without a recurring BLANKOM licence fee or mandatory BLANKOM SLA.
Plan network connectivity, third-party platforms and project services separately as part of the complete contribution system.

Broadcast Contribution FAQ
What is broadcast video contribution?
It is the transport of professional video from a camera, venue, studio or reception site to another facility for production, monitoring or further distribution.
Can BLANKOM transport SDI video over the public internet?
Selected SDI encoders, including SDE-265 and SHDE-4000, support SRT. Connection suitability depends on available bandwidth, latency, packet loss and the receiving system. Verify the complete link under representative conditions.
Which products fit Full-HD SDI and 4K contribution?
SDE-265 provides Full-HD SDI-to-IP encoding up to 1080p60. SHDE-4000 / SHDE-4002 address 12G-SDI and HDMI 4K contribution. Check the required input format and channel configuration on the product page.
Can an IP stream be converted back to SDI?
HDD-275 provides an SDI output for supported streams. HDD-275H does not include SDI. Confirm codec, resolution, frame rate and protocol compatibility before selecting the receiving model.
Can several feeds be monitored on one display?
The HDD-275 family offers mosaic monitoring for compatible streams. Supported layouts and stream combinations must be checked for the chosen model and operating mode.
Can DVB services be distributed over IP?
The IGS-8008 provides eight DVB tuner inputs and up to 64 SPTS IP outputs. Actual usable services depend on reception configuration, source multiplexes and system capacity.
Is BLANKOM a complete synchronised REMI platform?
This solution covers video contribution into remote production workflows. Synchronisation, timing, resilience and production-control requirements must be assessed separately against the selected equipment and wider system.
