BLANKOM SHDE-4000 IP encoder and streamer is designed for TV signal distribution in excellent quality over LAN and the INTERNET.

The H.264 and H.265 (HEVC)  compression technology features low latency and low bit rates for IPTV/OTT systems. The highly efficient encoding chips save bandwidth costs through all their resolution ranges.

Distribution of SD up to UHD TV channels through the IPTV/OTT network using state-of-the-art IP technology from almost any kind of video input.

From 1 input signal, 4 entirely different streams can be generated. The main stream can have up to 4K (2160p), and the secondary streams up to 720p HD resolution.

The uni- and multicast streams can be assigned with DVB-conform table content to allow the integration into multiplexes of IP to DVB-Modulators.

The BLANKOM SHDE-4000 series is a broadcast-grade, ultra-high-definition (UHD) hardware IP encoding and streaming platform. It is engineered to capture high-bandwidth baseband video signals up to 4K resolutions at 60 frames per second (4K@60fps) from professional production sources and compress them in real time into optimized digital IP transport streams for live distribution.

To precisely address different density demands and infrastructure reliability requirements, the series consists of two distinct hardware choices:

  • SHDE-4000: Incorporates 1 independent encoder streamer engine inside a standard 19-inch 1U rack-mount chassis, equipped with a dual redundant power supply framework for mission-critical failover protection.

  • SHDE-4002: Incorporates 2 independent encoder streamer engines side-by-side within a single 19-inch 1U rack-mount case, optimized for space-saving density and powered by a highly efficient single power supply.

Each encoder engine within the SHDE-4000 series is equipped with professional, high-bandwidth physical input options to bridge traditional studio hardware and digital IP networks. It natively incorporates a high-speed 12G-SDI BNC interface alongside a premium HDMI port, enabling robust connectivity with professional broadcast cameras, production switchers, and high-end media playback arrays.

The device features an advanced donanımsal encoding core that comprehensively supports high-efficiency video codecs, including H.265 (HEVC) and H.264 (AVC) protocols. Adhering strictly to B2B enterprise telecom specifications, the egress network processing tier supports an extensive array of streaming transport protocols. It natively delivers live streams over SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), HTTP, RTSP, RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, UDP, and RTP protocols in both Multicast and Unicast topologies, adapting seamlessly to local LAN distributions or public cloud ingest points.

For remote site contribution or transmission over unpredictable public networks, the series fully utilizes its integrated SRT engine. SRT applies advanced ARQ (Auto Repeat Request) packet recovery mechanisms to actively counteract network jitter and packet loss, and supports industry-standard AES-128 or AES-256 bit encryption to guarantee absolute end-to-end data security.

Yes. The hardware encoding pipelines are fully optimized to process true 4K UHD resolutions up to 60fps (2160p60). This high frame rate processing is critical for high-end live broadcast applications, such as live sports or high-action production environments, ensuring fluid motion rendering without ghosting artifacts or frame drops.

The audio processing block extracts digital audio directly from the embedded 12G-SDI or HDMI input signals. It supports professional broadcast compression standards—predominantly AAC, AAC+, AAC++, MP3, and MP2—giving headend engineers full control over independent audio bitrates, volume gain adjustments, or multi-channel audio pass-through configurations.

Core system parameters, video input source telemetry, encoder bitrates, and IP streaming routes are configured and monitored exclusively via an embedded WebGUI using a standard web browser over a dedicated, independent Ethernet management interface. This provides network operators with a highly secure, direct, and responsive web-based control plane.

Built for relentless 24/7/365 continuous deployment in broadcast master control rooms and primary telecom facilities, both the SHDE-4000 and SHDE-4002 models are housed in a rugged, standard 19-inch 1U rack-mount industrial metal enclosure.
