DVB to IP Streaming GATEWAY, 8 Tuner | IGS-8008
BLANKOM
BLANKOM IGS-8008 DVB to IP gateway with streaming feature has a capacity of up to 64 SPTS.
Supports PID filtering and remapping.
It has 8 DVB-S/S2 tuners built inside; thus, it can process up to 64 different programs from 8 different transponders.
BLANKOM IGS-8008 is a DVB/IP gateway, which has 8 DVB-S/S2/S2X or DVB-C/T/T2/ISDB-T tuners and de-multiplexing functions in one case to convert RF signals into TS output. The device converts the content of 8x FTA satellite transponders into IP for generating SPTS IPTV content.
It is in a 1U case, which supports 8 tuner inputs and RF loop-through outputs.
To meet customers’ various requirements, the IGS-8008 is designed to demux programs from any RF input.
It is capable of generating a maximum of 64 SPTS streams in UDP/RTP/RTSP/RTMP/HLS/HTTP/SRT.
| Input | 8x DVB-S/S2/S2X Tuner Inputs (L, KU, C-Band) |
|---|---|
| Output | 64x SPTS IP Outputs over UDP/RTP/RTSP/RTMP/HLS/HTTP/SRT |
| Features | Multi-protocol IP outputs over UDP/RTP/RTSP/RTMP/HLS/HTTP/SRT |

DVB to IP Gateway with 8 Transponder Inputs with Streaming Output
IPTV Headend with 8 tuners. Designed for local IPTV distribution networks on LANs and for OTT operators, BLANKOM IGS-8008 converts up to 64 channels from 8 satellite transponders into IPTV signals at an unbeatable price.

Versatile Deployment Scenarios & Application Examples
1. Direct OTT & Web-Based IPTV Distribution (HLS / HTTP) Unlike strictly LAN-bound gateways, the IGS-8008 eliminates the immediate need for external transcoders or streaming servers for small-to-medium deployments. ISP and OTT operators can convert up to 8 satellite transponders into a curated lineup of up to 64 SPTS streams and deliver them directly to end-user devices, smart TVs, or web players using HLS or HTTP protocols over the public internet.
2. Secure Broadcast Contribution via Public Internet (SRT) For broadcasters operating across multiple geographical locations, traditional satellite or dedicated fiber links are highly expensive. The IGS-8008 utilizes the SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol to transmit pristine, low-latency broadcast feeds from a remote reception site to a central studio over standard, unpredictable public internet connections. It provides packet loss recovery and encryption, ensuring broadcast-grade stability without infrastructure leasing costs.
3. Cloud Media Server & CDN Ingestion (RTMP) System integrators building global streaming infrastructures can deploy the IGS-8008 at a satellite downlink facility to capture regional channels. Using the RTMP protocol, the gateway can push these 64 SPTS streams directly into cloud-based media servers (such as Wowza or AWS MediaLive) or global Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), bridging the gap between local RF reception and global cloud distribution.
4. Corporate & Institutional LAN Broadcasting (UDP / RTP) For standard enterprise environments, the gateway functions as a highly efficient multicast source. It ingests targeted news, financial, or industry-specific satellite channels and distributes them via UDP/RTP across corporate LANs. The 8-tuner capacity and 64 SPTS limit provide the exact density required for corporate headquarters, government campuses, or trading floors without over-provisioning hardware.
5. Hospitality & Smart-TV Direct Streaming (RTSP / HLS) Modern hospitality installations increasingly rely on Smart TVs that do not require external set-top boxes. The IGS-8008 can act as a localized headend for boutique hotels, hospitals, or maritime vessels. By outputting channels in RTSP or HLS, the gateway interfaces directly with the middleware of commercial Smart TVs, drastically simplifying room installations and reducing hardware failure points.
