TELESTE Luminato
Video Headends
Modular reception, processing and output for professional broadcast television delivery.
IRENIS supplies TELESTE Luminato headend systems for projects in the Middle East and Africa. We define the required inputs, service processing, output formats and redundancy before preparing the quotation.
Luminato 4X4 for Scalable Broadcast TV Delivery
TELESTE positions Luminato 4X4 as a modular headend platform for CATV, IPTV and OTT delivery. Its architecture combines high-capacity stream interfaces with hot-swappable processing modules and configuration-specific video processing and output functions.
Configuration note: Capacities and functions depend on the selected chassis, modules, interfaces, licences and software. The final bill of materials and TELESTE documentation govern the offered system.
Build the Headend Around the Required Signal Path
Luminato configurations are selected from the source formats, required service processing and delivery interfaces—not from a generic chassis description alone.
Receive the Sources
Select services from satellite, terrestrial, cable, ASI or IP sources using the appropriate Luminato receiver and input modules.
Build the Line-up
Apply the required service selection, transport-stream processing, multiplexing, PSI/SI handling and conditional-access functions.
Define the Outputs
Deliver the configured services through QAM, IP, Remote PHY or other supported Luminato output paths, according to the selected modules.
A Platform That Can Evolve with the Delivery Network
Modular processing
The 1U chassis provides six hot-swappable processing-module slots and four 10 Gbps SFP+/SFP stream-interface slots. Modules can be selected for the required reception, processing and output task.
Operational control
The platform provides a web user interface, CLI, SNMP monitoring and an API for machine-to-machine integration. Redundancy and backup options are selected against the project architecture.
Service processing
TELESTE lists wire-speed scrambling and multiplexing, support for more than 30 conditional-access systems and optional Video Core functionality among the platform capabilities.
Network transition
Parallel QAM, IP and Remote PHY interface options allow the headend design to address traditional and distributed access delivery scenarios.
Where Luminato Fits
Broadcast Television Headend
Create or expand a cable television service line-up with configuration-specific reception, processing, scrambling and QAM delivery.
IPTV and OTT Contribution
Receive, process and deliver professional transport streams for IP-based television and related distribution architectures.
Legacy Headend Replacement
Plan a controlled migration from ageing video headend equipment while documenting the current sources, services, conditional access and outputs.
Video Delivery Transition
Prepare video delivery for architectures using parallel QAM, IP or Remote PHY output paths where required by the operator network.
TELESTE Video Headends—Without the Amplifier Portfolio
For TELESTE, the IRENIS offer presented on this website is limited to Luminato video headend systems and the configuration-specific components required for those systems.
TELESTE broadband access amplifiers, nodes and outside-plant portfolios are outside this IRENIS sales scope. They are therefore not promoted or quoted through this page.
AUTHORISED DISTRIBUTIONMiddle East & Africa
Territory and commercial availability are confirmed for each enquiry. No unrestricted stock or delivery promise is implied.
Define the Complete Headend Requirement
A useful enquiry identifies both the present service line-up and the target output architecture. This lets us separate confirmed requirements from open engineering decisions.
Document the Inputs
List satellite transponders, terrestrial or cable multiplexes, ASI feeds and IP streams, including free-to-air or encrypted status.
Define the Processing
Specify service selection, remultiplexing, PSI/SI, scrambling or descrambling, redundancy and monitoring requirements.
Define the Outputs
State QAM, IP, Remote PHY or other required delivery interfaces, service counts, frequencies, bitrates and redundancy.
Confirm Operations
Define management interfaces, rack power, environmental conditions, documentation, support expectations and destination country.
Send the Existing Line-up or Target Architecture
If an exact TELESTE part number or an existing Luminato configuration is available, send it with the enquiry. Otherwise, provide the signal and service requirements below.
- Input sources, standards, frequencies and service counts
- Free-to-air and encrypted services; current CA system
- Required multiplexing, PSI/SI and scrambling functions
- Output formats, channel plan, bitrate and interface counts
- Redundancy, monitoring and remote-management requirements
- Existing equipment and migration constraints
- Rack power, installation environment and destination country
- Required delivery date and support/documentation scope
TELESTE Luminato FAQ
Is Luminato 4X4 only an Edge QAM?
No. TELESTE describes it as a modular headend for CATV, IPTV and OTT delivery. Edge QAM is an important capability, while reception, stream processing, IP delivery and optional Video Core functions depend on the selected configuration.
Which input sources can the Luminato family receive?
Depending on the receiver modules, TELESTE lists satellite, terrestrial, cable, ASI and IP sources. The exact standards, interface counts and conditional-access requirements must be defined before quotation.
Does every Luminato 4X4 system provide 192 QAM channels?
No. TELESTE publishes up to 192 QAM channels in 1U for the appropriate dense-modulator configuration. Actual capacity depends on the installed modules and project configuration.
Can Luminato support IPTV delivery?
Yes. TELESTE positions the platform for CATV, IPTV and OTT delivery. The required IP inputs, outputs, processing, network interfaces and redundancy must be specified for the individual project.
Can IRENIS quote TELESTE amplifiers or access-network products?
No. The IRENIS TELESTE sales scope presented here is limited to Luminato video headend systems. Access-network amplifiers, nodes and outside-plant products are outside this scope.
What is required for an accurate quotation?
Provide the input sources, service list, encryption or conditional-access requirements, processing functions, output formats, redundancy, management needs, destination and target delivery date.
Are all functions included as standard?
No. Functions may depend on the chassis, modules, interfaces, licences and software version. The quotation must identify the exact configuration and the documentation applicable to it.
