Optical Multiswitch System with Fiber Optic Subscriber Lines, 4 Satellites, up to 256 Subscribers with 2 TV sets each, total capacity
The new BLANKOM FTTH Fiber Optic Multiswitch System for max. 4 SAT-Positions + terrestrial RF supports the distribution of the Multiswitch SAT-IF in downstream and LNB signaling in the upstream as bidirectional direct-to-homes / wall outlets to MDU’s: SAT-FttB, FttC, FttH.
The optical Multiswitch system uses the 1550nm wavelength for the downstream of the transponder selected by the SAT receiver and the upstream of the switching data from the connected SAT receiver/tuner (transponder frequency (SAT-ZF), 13/18V=polarization, band switching low/high 0/22 kHz, SAT position DiSEqC) is transmitted at 1310 nm on the same optical fiber backwards from the BFR to the Multiswitch.

Application Example 1: BLANKOM Optical Multiswitch distribution of 4 satellites to villas over fiber optic cables, with unlimited subscriber cable length. 2 TV sets in each villa over 1 fiber optic cable.
Application Example 2: BLANKOM Optical Multiswitch distribution of 4 satellites to a tower building over fiber optic cables, with unlimited subscriber cable length.
Application Example 3: BLANKOM Optical Multiswitch distribution of 4 satellites to apartment blocks with multiple homes and internal coax distribution, to villas over fiber optic cables, and also to a tower building. The complete system from one dish farm in a single location. No limitation of fiber optic cabling lengths.
Fully cascadable optical multiswitch family with excellent RF performance. Up to 8 units can be cascaded.
The system can be expanded to up to 256 subscribers, with 2 TV sets each. Thus the total capacity is 512 TV sets connected to 4 satellite dishes.
All channels from 4 satellites will be accessible to each subscriber.
The cable length to each subscriber can be several kilometers long.
Optimized for 7/24 use in Headend environment. 19″ rack mountable enclosure. Redundant power supply with permanent load balancing.
Active terrestrial input enables UWB (ultra-wide band) distribution of DVB-C/C2 and DVB-T/T2 signals together with SAT-IF.
