The BLANKOM HDC-5000 series represents an operator-grade, high-density edge IP-to-QAM modulation platform. It is engineered to ingest high-throughput IP transport streams (SPTS or MPTS) from core networks or satellite gateways and modulate them directly into standard DVB-C (QAM) Radio Frequency (RF) carriers for seamless distribution over extensive coaxial cable networks.

To satisfy varying network distribution scales, localized channel capacities, and cost efficiency targets, the product family consists of four distinct hardware models:

  • HDC-5016: Supports up to 16 independent QAM RF output carriers

  • HDC-5032: Supports up to 32 independent QAM RF output carriers

  • HDC-5048: Supports up to 48 independent QAM RF output carriers

  • HDC-5064: Supports up to 64 independent QAM RF output carriers

No. The HDC-5000 series operates strictly at the stream transport, multiplexing, and physical modulation layers as a linear network edge device. It processes the underlying video and audio payloads transparently, meaning it does not decompress or alter the compression syntax of MPEG-2, H.264 (AVC), or H.265 (HEVC) streams, maintaining absolute signal integrity up to 4K resolutions.

The series complies fully with professional B2B telecom IP broadcasting specifications. The input stage natively supports low-overhead, line-rate UDP and RTP protocols with comprehensive Multicast and Unicast routing capabilities, allowing stable termination of extensive IP transport stream arrays directly from central IP headends.

Yes, the HDC-5000 series incorporates a powerful, high-capacity internal digital multiplexing core. It enables network engineers to demultiplex incoming IP transport streams, execute precise PID filtering and PID remapping, inject custom descriptors, and freely assign selected television or radio programs into any of the available QAM RF output carriers.

The integrated digital modulator complies fully with ITU-T J.83A and J.83B digital cable specifications. It supports 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, and 256QAM constellations with an adjustable symbol rate up to 7.0 Msps per carrier, ensuring universal tuning across standard digital television sets and legacy edge set-top boxes.

Yes. Because it possesses an integrated multiplexing core, the system automatically parses and rebuilds the necessary PAT, PMT, NIT, and SDT metadata tables in real time. Through the administrative user layout, operators can manually customize service names, modify provider strings, and assign Logical Channel Numbering (LCN) to deliver a perfectly tailored channel guide to subscribers.

The agile RF output section spans the standard digital cable television spectrum from 50 MHz up to 960 MHz. It features a high-performance modulation circuit that guarantees a superior MER (Modulation Error Ratio) and exceptionally low phase noise, preventing signal degradation or pixelation even when generating up to 64 carriers simultaneously.

System provisioning, IP input stream routing, channel multiplexing matrices, and RF modulation parameters are managed exclusively via an embedded WebGUI using a standard internet browser through a dedicated, independent Ethernet management port. This model line does not support SNMP management, prioritizing a highly secure, isolated, and low-overhead administration environment.

Enclosed in a rugged, standard 19-inch 1U rack-mount industrial metal enclosure with an intelligent active cooling fan matrix, the HDC-5000 series is built for relentless 24/7/365 commercial headend uptimes. It can be provisioned through our technical Ordering Guides on irenis-blankom.com with dual redundant hot-swappable power supplies to safeguard against primary AC power line failures.
