The BLANKOM HDC-5004 is a professional, compact edge IP-to-QAM modulation unit designed for digital cable TV (CATV) headends. It is engineered to ingest high-throughput IP transport streams (SPTS or MPTS) from local encoders, satellite gateways, or core networks and modulate them directly into standard digital cable RF channels for distribution over coaxial networks.

The hardware architecture of the HDC-5004 is specifically designed to generate exactly 4 independent DVB-C QAM RF carriers simultaneously from a single 1U chassis. This allows operators to bundle and distribute multiple television bouquets or digital radio services over four distinct frequencies across the coaxial infrastructure.

No. The HDC-5004 operates strictly at the stream transport, multiplexing, and physical RF modulation layers. It processes the underlying video and audio payloads transparently, meaning it does not decompress, transcode, or alter the resolution of MPEG-2, H.264 (AVC), or H.265 (HEVC) data packets, eliminating any processing artifacts or codec degradation.

The unit complies fully with professional B2B telecom IP broadcasting specifications. The network input layer natively supports low-overhead, line-rate UDP and RTP transport protocols with comprehensive Multicast and Unicast routing capabilities, ensuring stable stream termination from your central IP headend.

Yes, despite its compact 4-carrier output layout, the HDC-5004 features a fully integrated digital multiplexing engine. This core allows headend engineers to demultiplex incoming IP transport streams, execute precise PID filtering and PID remapping, inject custom descriptors, and freely assign selected programs into any of the 4 available QAM RF output channels.

The integrated digital modulator complies fully with ITU-T J.83A and J.83B digital cable standards. It supports 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, 128QAM, and 256QAM constellations with an adjustable symbol rate up to 7.0 Msps per carrier, ensuring universal tuning across standard digital television sets and legacy edge set-top boxes.

Yes. Because it possesses an integrated multiplexing core, the system automatically parses and rebuilds the necessary PAT, PMT, NIT, and SDT metadata tables in real time. Through the administrative user layout, operators can manually customize service names, modify provider strings, and assign Logical Channel Numbering (LCN) to present a clean channel guide to the end subscriber.

The agile RF output section spans the standard digital cable television spectrum from 50 MHz up to 960 MHz. Output parameters can be adjusted and attenuated through the web interface, ensuring an optimized signal-to-noise ratio, a high Modulation Error Ratio (MER), and exceptionally low phase noise for stable signal distribution.

System provisioning, IP input stream routing, channel multiplexing matrices, and RF modulation parameters are managed exclusively via an embedded WebGUI using a standard internet browser through a dedicated, independent Ethernet management port. This provides operators with a secure, responsive, and direct web-based control plane for full configuration layout.

The HDC-5004 is housed in a rugged, standard 19-inch 1U rack-mount industrial metal enclosure equipped with an efficient active cooling fan layout for stable 24/7/365 commercial headend uptimes. It features a reliable, dâhili single power supply unit optimized for energy efficiency and continuous local or regional cable edge deployments.
