Ethernet over the coaxial cable that is already in the building — for hotels, hospitals and residential blocks where new data cabling is not practical.
The system has two ends. The BEM-101 and BEM-102 controllers sit at the head of the coaxial tree and connect it to the Ethernet network. At the subscriber end, the BES-101, BES-102 and BES-104 receivers provide one, two or four Ethernet ports, and the BEW-100 adds a WiFi 6 access point in the same unit, so one coaxial outlet delivers both wired and wireless service in a room.
Because the existing coaxial distribution is re-used, television service and data can share the same cable, which is why this is usually chosen for refurbishment rather than new build.
