IPTV Encoder with 4, 8, or 12 HDMI Inputs, SPTS Encoding, and Streaming Function
The BLANKOM EMU 9500 series has 4, 8, or 12 HDMI-compatible video input interfaces and supports both HEVC/H.265 and MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 video encoding and MPEG 1 Layer 2 audio encoding. This compact encoder can simultaneously convert 4/8/12 HD video & audio signals from HDMI inputs to IP output as multiplexed MPTS and SPTS IP output streams. Text, graphics, or a QR code can be added to every video picture.
Its highly integrated and cost-effective design fits perfectly into various digital distribution systems, such as cable TV digital Headend and satellite digital TV broadcasting.
EMU-8200 series is a similar unit, without streaming protocol support, with HD-SDI instead of HDMI inputs.

B2B application examples showcasing how the channel density, H.265 compression, and SPTS architecture of the EMU-9500 series solve large-scale enterprise video requirements:
-
Bandwidth-Optimized IPTV Headend Ingestion for Hotels and Luxury Resorts: Large resort hotels with hundreds of rooms require maximizing channel variety without choking the internal local network bandwidth. By deploying the EMU-9512, the chief network engineer can ingest 12 independent high-definition satellite receivers or local media servers via HDMI into just 1U of rack space. By encoding the video into H.265 UDP Multicast SPTS streams, the hotel slashes its internal network streaming load by up to 50% compared to older H.264 headends. Guest room Smart TVs can instantly tune into individual SPTS streams, preserving smooth network performance during peak hours.
-
High-Density Multi-Room University Campus and Education Broadcasting: Centralized university campus networks frequently distribute live lecture content or internal television programming from multiple rooms simultaneously. By installing the EMU-9512 in the primary network operations center (NOC), the university can pull 12 high-definition HDMI lines from 12 different lecture halls directly into one unit. The device outputs 12 independent multicast SPTS feeds in high-efficiency H.265 format, allowing students in dormitories, libraries, or overflow labs to view any of the 12 live classes using compatible open-source media players on any tablet or PC.
-
Centralized Corporate AV Distribution and High-Density Digital Signage: Multinational corporate headquarters or massive shopping malls maintain multi-screen informational displays driven by centralized media players. Utilizing the EMU-9508, the internal IT team connects 8 separate digital signage players or executive presentation laptops via HDMI. The device encodes them into 8 separate H.265 SPTS multicast streams. Edge decoders or set-top boxes behind each display can be tuned to specific IP addresses, allowing different building zones to receive customized high-definition corporate content with perfect temporal synchronization and minimal network footprint.
-
Municipal Government Chamber Multi-Camera Stream Consolidation: City council buildings and courthouse facilities use multiple fixed cameras to record public sessions, main chambers, and separate committee rooms. The EMU-9504 or EMU-9508 consolidates these lines by accepting up to 4 or 8 camera HDMI outputs within a single 1U device. The system converts the video matrix into separate H.265 SPTS UDP/RTP streams, allowing the city’s technical staff to route specific room streams directly to localized archiving servers or push them to WAN proxy nodes for public transparency logging with minimal storage overhead.
-
Teleport Contribution and Master Control Room (MCR) Feed Monitoring: Satellite teleport facilities and master control rooms must monitor and route dozens of incoming local turnaround channels or studio outputs before satellite uplink. Deploying the EMU-9512 allows engineers to take 12 independent monitor HDMI feeds from the production desks and digitize them instantly. The independent SPTS IP output architecture combined with low-bitrate H.265 compression makes it easy to map these 12 feeds directly onto professional multiviewer network displays, enabling operators to keep an eye on full 1080p60 channel status without overloading the broadcast infrastructure.
