FOR QUOTATIONS AND PROJECT DISCUSSIONS

Link the customer directly to the engineering explanation

Each guide contains stable section links intended for technical explanation. Use the relevant section in a quotation or e-mail when the customer needs to understand why a particular architecture, processing stage or project input is required.

These guides explain engineering principles and project decisions. The quotation remains the source for the exact model, quantity, option, scope, commercial terms and project-specific commitment.

EXAMPLE

“For the engineering basis of the proposed multicast network, please refer to the relevant section in BLANKOM IPTV System Design · Guide 08. The equipment and configuration supplied for your project are specified in this quotation.”

SOURCE BASIS

Built from the published IPTV Headend Planning Guide

The 12-guide web series is based on Ralf Riedel’s IPTV Headend Planning Guide, 2nd edition (2026) and restructures its engineering material into focused web references that can be updated individually over time.

The web guides add decision tables, commissioning workflows, RFQ briefs and quotation-reference structures where useful. Current product capability, firmware compatibility and project-specific requirements must still be verified before specification.

FAQ

Using the BLANKOM IPTV System Design series

Where should I start a new IPTV project?

Start with Guide 01 to define the project scope, sources, destinations and responsibilities. Then use Guides 02–04 to turn those requirements into reception and headend architecture.

Do I need to read all 12 guides?

No. The series is designed so that each guide can be used independently. Follow the full sequence for a complete design review, or go directly to the engineering question relevant to your project.

Are the guides product specifications?

No. They explain engineering principles, inputs, design choices and verification methods. Exact BLANKOM model capability must be checked against the current product page, datasheet, firmware and project quotation.

Can these pages be referenced in quotations?

Yes. Each guide contains permanent section links so customers can be sent directly to the explanation relevant to the proposed architecture or configuration.

READY TO DEFINE THE PROJECT?

Send the service list and system requirements

Tell us the reception sources, required TV/radio services, viewing locations, existing infrastructure and any special processing or resilience requirements. Our engineers will respond in writing.
